Bible Verse: John 15: 4-5

In Sunday’s sermon Pastor McAllister talked about how God is saying that we can’t do or live in this world by ourselves. We need some assistance from him. He is our help and he is the source. As the verses state:

4. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

5. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

John 14:4-5 NIV

Unless we are connected to God, we are not able to survive in this world. You may be able to exist, but that’s not surviving. Unless you honor and abide with him, you will not be able to make it.

We are not doing our best or living our best life when we do it outside of God. When we walk in the will of God, everything will fall into place.

We need to let God be God and let him work in his timing, no matter how long it may seem to take. We need to let him be able to watch out for us and protect us. We are in an assisted living situation in which we need God more then we need ourselves. In all our ways we need to acknowledge him, so that he can direct our paths.
